In the early 1980s the Sentinel had a regular cycling column. It provided information about local club activity and sponsored events as well as giving the bigger picture on cycling issues and competitions. You’ll find a selection below

February 1982: information about the bypass plans, noting that there seems to have been a lack of planning for cyclists.
May 1982: Details about taking part in a cycle ride to Crianlarich, a run of 200km.
