In May 1992, the Wester Hailes Community Housing Association gave details on how to apply for the first of its new houses. The WHCHA newsletter explains the application process as well as reporting on the progress of the design and building of the 97 homes available in the area.
Also reported on is the naming of the new streets which the council’s Street Naming Section wasn’t keen on. However local choice prevailed and the streets received their names.
