In December 1995, the Sentinel celebrated its 300th edition. To mark the occasion they published some of their best headlines and front pages.
The paper also covered a range of stories including a visit to the Calders by Terry Nutkins to help local children plant trees as part of National Tree Week. Nearly 800 trees were planted.
Other stories include
- The closure of the Scottish Power shop
- Clovenstone School’s 20th birthday
- Hailes FM December programme
- Predictions for the Christmas Number One

Hello, thank you for this interesting article; I would like to know where I can find archived copies of the Sentinel newspaper?
Thanks

Hello Kholoud
We have copies of the Sentinel here at Prospect Community Housing. There should also be copies of the paper at the National Library of Scotland.
